The opportunity

As a Founding Backend Engineer, you will be creating and scaling the backend and APIs of our ML embeddings and chatbot creation services. This will be in close collaboration with the founders, customers and engineers.

What you will do

• Lead backend engineering by designing and building scalable components
• Be involved in creating technical roadmaps and executing on them
• Actively participate in technical designs and architecture discussions
• Directly work with the founders, engineers and and end-users for feedback
• Help us with recruiting as we grow (we want more superstars like you!

Who you are

• 3-5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer
• Experience defining architectural direction and leading execution on technical decisions
• Ability to mentor others via code review, pair programming, and technical guidance
• Clear communicator, able to simplify complex jargon to a lay audience

Nice to have

• Experience with AI / ML / NLP systems
• Experience with UX / User Research

Tech stack

• Frontend is React
• API is NodeJS
• ML services exist as Python Flask APIs
• All hosted on GCP (runtime) and Supabase (DB, auth)
